The Shadow Throne is the last book in the Ascendance Trilogy. Jennifer Nielsen is an excellent author. She writes her books for all ages. I had my younger sisters and my mom read this series. They all liked it and were sad when they read the last book because the series ended. This book starts where The Runaway King ends and brings more exciting twists into the story. The plot and characters were written very well. When I first read this book, I could not put it down. And to be honest, I have read this book more than once.
Nielsen did a wonderful job ending each character’s story. I do not want to give away the end, but I can say that I enjoyed every part of this book as well as the rest of the series.
This is one series I highly recommend that you read. I actually own two copies of the first book, so I can loan one out.
